 The Potty-Check® system uses the Chair-Check® II or Basic-CheckTM Control Unit and a Sensormat® pressure sensitive mat. The Control Unit operates on a readily available 9 volt alkaline battery. Also available for the Chair-Check II is a nickel-metal hydride battery/companion charger which allows recharging over 1000 times.
Mats are adhesive backed for ease of mounting beneath seat ring.

Selectable alarm sounds allow the Chair-Check II to be distinguished from other equipment. An alternate sound may be used on patients who are at higher risk to provide a priority alert. The Basic-Check has only one tone.
Both the Chair-Check II and the Basic-Check continuously monitor battery condition while the unit is armed and provide a distinctive alert to the nursing staff when the battery voltage drops to an unacceptable level.
The Control Unit automatically arms itself immediately upon detecting weight on the toilet seat.
The Control Unit provides an immediate alarm when weight is taken off of the toilet seat.. The instant alarm is necessary for effective potty monitoring.
The Control Unit automatically silences when weight is back on the toilet seat.
