Bed-Check's® Model Vr Control Unit can be programmed to meet the needs of the patient and the facility!
The Model Vr is 110VAC powered, and is therefore usually used to monitor a bed or bedside chair. It is the most advanced fall risk monitor available. In addition to programmable tone, volume, hold interval, and delay settings, the Model Vr can provide you with retrievable data through a pc. (See the green box to the right.)
Retrievable outcome based data makes the Model Vr especially useful as an evaluation tool. If, for example, it is found that every night at about 2AM, Mrs. Smith in 312 tries to get to the bathroom on her own, caregiver assistance can be scheduled at 1:45 to pre-empt Mrs. Smith's independent exit attempt.
The Model Vr plays a proactive role in your fall reduction program by giving you more than just an alarm. This is particularly useful for incoming patients or residents, about whose behavior patterns you know nothing other than what is in the records. Those patterns may change as the newcomer adapts to a new environment.
Of course not every patient or resident is predictable, and some will need continual monitoring. The Model Vr is also useful on a continuing basis. The variety of tone and volume settings allows each unit to be set to be easily heard and distinguished from other equipment in the room. Hold and delay settings may be set to meet the characteristics of the individual. The Model Vr remembers all of its settings during a power interruption, whether due to a power failure or simply unplugging the unit to move it elsewhere. Connection to your nurse call system extends even further the freedom of caregivers to attend to other duties.
Model Vr Product No. 100085-102 has a nurse call accessory port, and comes with a dummy plug for times when nurse call system connection is not needed.
Model Vr Product No. 100085-101 will require an adaptor cord in order to be used with a nurse call system.
Both versions are ETL tested and conform to UL and CSA standards as Nurse Call Accessory Equipment: UL 1069 and CSA C22.2 No. 205R
All new Bed-Check Control Units have a two year warranty.
Many features in Bed-Check products are protected by United States patents.
